The Ultimate Guilt-Free Foodie Experience
I have never really talked much about food over on Imogen & James, you will more often than not have seen lots of food pictures on my Instagram but until now, I have never written a foodie post. I do love my food, and a lot of my social plans will be organised around food, 99% of the time. I'm a strong believer in a balanced diet, but there is nothing worse than eating out and feeing forced to opt for just 'salad' because the menu doesn't give you any other relatively healthy/nutritious options. This week, I discovered Filmore & Union and I could now very easily see myself as a regular! ...Yes, I live in Yorkshire and I had never visited one before... shameful, I know!
It's been a while since I went out with mum for a mother/daughter lunch, and having never visited the famous Harrogate, we headed to Filmore & Union. This place have got it all right. Everything is 100% natural, raw, unprocessed, the whole lot! They cater for all food types and the decor is on point! You can literally watch them make your juice behind the counter. I absolutely loved the place. I had their Slim Down juice which is basically fresh pineapple, lemon, orange, apple and strawberry and it tasted amazing.
We fancied something light for lunch, so we shared Filmore's chicken skewers (which were basically made with moroccan spices), a protein packed veggie burger and two seriously big salads... I was literally stuffed for hours, and with no regrets! Being a sweet potato fanatic, I do judge a restaurant on how good their sweet potato fries are... and these were the business. I mean.. just look at them!!
It has probably got be the best brownie I have ever tasted. We also had the orange and lavender cake and the gorgeous raspberry polenta muffin. We then explored Harrogate, and I had no idea it was going to be like a mini York. When a city has a Space.N.K, it makes my day. I ran in to buy my much needed Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer that I was desperately running out of, and then shopped around the city. If you guys are ever in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!!
Have you guys ever been to a Filmore & Union before?
