Exploring Yorkshire In The Autumn Time

Last weekend, I visited the beautiful Osmotherley lake (known as Cod Beck Reservoir), with little Mason. After a busy week, all I wanted to do was relax and find somewhere completely remote to walk the dog. It was a good occasion to take some time out to just appreciate how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful part of the world. It’s incredibly easy to take for granted where you live sometimes, and having just moved back to Yorkshire, it’s important for me to keep inspiring my readers on the blog, as much as myself, by visiting somewhere new every weekend.

Having lived relatively near the lake district for a large chunk of my life,  I still have yet to go! But Osmotherley is one of those incredibly peaceful and easy to get to places, situated in the North Yorkshire Moors, and for years it was right on my doorstep and I didn't even know.  When Uniqlo got in touch about collaborating,  I knew I wanted somewhere different, remote and a chance to show you guys what I get up to on the weekends.

Whilst Mason is incredibly small and I can easily take him into the city,  I still really enjoy wrapping up warm and driving out to the countryside to go for longer walks on the weekends. Whether that's the beach, the woods, I love to go walking - particularly if you can wind up in a tea room or a local country pub like we did in Osmotherley. Usually pubs allows dogs in these kind of areas, so that's always a bonus! Check out The Three Tuns pub - the food was delicious!

I have a huge love of wearing olive greens throughout Autumn time. This year, olive shades are absolutely everywhere. I also love that feeling of wrapping up warm in a puffer coat for colder winter hikes. I’m wearing this number from Uniqlo, its a light down stretch hooded coat, incredibly warm because of the down, but also very stylish with its feminine silhouette. The colour is also gorgeous and I have been pairing it with my olive Hunter wellies. Since shooting this post, I have been wearing this look non stop for all of my dog walks!

Underneath, I'm wearing a Uniqlo U 100% cashmere ribbed turtle neck sweater, which is the most flattering turtleneck I own! In a crisp and clean coloured off-white shade, this is perfect for layering in the winter months, as it gives you a slim silhouette underneath your slightly larger, warmer coats in the winter. It's incredibly soft and makes a great investment piece for the colder months.

Take some time out this weekend to live in the moment and enjoy the autumn time. There is nothing better than grabbing a turtleneck, a pair of hunter wellies and going somewhere new to explore!

Take some time out this weekend to live in the moment and enjoy the autumn time. There is nothing better than grabbing a turtleneck, a pair of hunter wellies and going somewhere new to explore! Never be afraid to break out of your routine and do something different on the weekends! I love exploring and going out with my camera to different locations to shoot for the blog, it's one of the best things about blogging for me. I talked about this in my previous post on how to improve your blog photography, so make sure you go check it out if you're interested in the photo side of blogging.

I hope this inspires at least somebody to go out and explore this weekend! Have fun and enjoy yourselves!
