How To Revive Dull Looking Skin

There are days and periods of the month when my skin begins to lose that glow and it starts to look quite dull. I personally have always kept a supply of what I call my emergency products for when my skin takes a turn for the worst. Having discovered a few newbies this month, I wanted to share with you guys some new favourites of mine for reviving dull looking skin.

If you had asked me a year ago to go make-up free online, the chances are I would almost definitely have said no. But ever since starting Imogen & James back in December last year, I have been exposed to a whole new selection of products that have changed my skin for the better. I have had more courage to take the plunge and try new skincare goods and also, having the opportunity to test so many new products for brands has opened my eyes to so many new amazing products I would have never thought of trying before. One thing's for sure, I have definitely built up the confidence to go make-up free since I started investing in a proper skincare routine, and today's post is all about when your skin gets dull and needs something else.

Face masks were the one product I avoided for a long time, as I once had a bad experience with one that  dried out my skin quite badly. But over the last few months, face masks have become my number one go-to when trying to clear blemishes and lift dead skin cells. I've been using the Manuka Doctor Peel Off Face Mask about once a week, and you basically leave it on your skin for about 10-15 minutes and then you can peel it off. This is actually one of my first peel-off masks I've ever used, and I absolutely love the concept - they really help clear your skin of imperfections and revive that dull skin feeling.

Another favourite of mine for reviving dull looking skin is the Manuka Doctor Replenishing Facial Oil. Whenever my skin lacks that glow that I love and adore, I use this facial oil after cleansing and before moisturising. It instantly adds moisture back into my skin - which for me, is such a necessary with dry skin, and I love that it restores that luminous glow.

As I've mentioned more than once before, I suffer badly with dark circles! If I stay up late and get up early, I am pretty much guaranteed to have dark circles in the morning - whilst coffee and concealer become my best friend. I've been using the REN Instant Brightening Beauty Shot Eye Lift lately and it's become a big winner on brightening my under eye area if I don't get as much sleep as usual! I was also extremely impressed by how such a little goes a long way.

And finally, a new little discovery of mine has been the REN Flash Defence Anti-Pollution Mist which I've been using to protect my skin from throughout the day, alongside using this as a make-up setting spray!

So those have been this month's new rescue products! I hope you enjoyed this post, and let me know any other products that are as good, or if you have ever tried any of these?
